Dr Jerry E White
Major General, USAF, Ret
Dr Jerry E White (Major General, USAF, Ret), is President Emeritus of The Navigators and current Chairman of its US Board. Dr White is a retired Major General of the U.S. Air Force with a PhD in astronautics. He has written many books, and is a regular speaker at leadership and men’s conferences and seminars. General White was conferred various prestigious medals and continued to hold key positions on several national bodies. Dr White and his wife, Mary, have written many books on practical topics such as work, ethics, and parenting adult children such as The Christian in Mid-Life (1980, NavPress) Friends and Friendship (1982, NavPress), On The Job: Survival or Satisfaction (1988, NavPress) and When Your Kids Aren’t Kids Anymore (1989, NavPress). Dr White has authored several books such as Honesty, Morality and Conscience (1996, NavPress), Dangers Men Face (1997, NavPress), The Joseph Road (2009, NavPress) and Rules to Live By (2010, NavPress)
In addition to his work with The Navigators, Jerry is a nationally competitive handball player, a licensed commercial pilot, and an active member of his local church, having served on the church board. He is married to the former Mary Ann Knutson. They have four children, 11 grandchildren, and live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
